Senior MySQL DBAs, engaged on a fixed scope with a fixed deliverable. Performance audits, 8.0 → 8.4 LTS upgrades, HA and DR design, security reviews. You get written findings, a prioritised remediation plan, and the person who wrote it on the call.

One of these is almost certainly the shape of what you need. If it is the ongoing one, we will tell you, and point you there.

| Your Situation | A specific problem: slow queries, 8.0 → 8.4 upgrade, migration, or cost spike | No in-house DBA, or an existing team that needs 24/7 incident coverage |
| What You Receive | Written findings, a prioritised remediation plan, and DBA implementation | Continuous 24/7 monitoring, incident response, query tuning, and backups |
| Engagement Ends | When the agreed scope is fully delivered & verified | Ongoing service (cancel or adjust anytime) |

Eight areas, each scoped to a deliverable. Every card names the version, parameter or tool we work at, and links the engagement that proves it.
We profile the workload, not the server: slow query log analysis, EXPLAIN ANALYZE against the plan the optimizer actually ran, index and histogram strategy, and InnoDB buffer pool and I/O sizing against your real working set. Findings ranked by the latency they cost you.
Community MySQL 8.0 is out of Oracle's Extended Support and the RDS clock is running too, so we first establish which schedule you are actually on. Oracle does not support skipping an LTS series, which makes 8.4 the mandatory stepping stone to 9.7. We run it as a rehearsed project: pre-upgrade audit, staged dry run, execution in your window, validation.
Cloud to cloud, on-prem to cloud, and off proprietary engines. For multi-terabyte estates we parallelise with data chunking, run change data capture for the live replication phase, and write the rollback plan before the cutover plan.
We design for the failure you will actually have. Topology selection against your consistency and latency needs, then the routing that matches it: MySQL Router in front of InnoDB Cluster, ProxySQL or HAProxy in front of a Galera-based cluster. Failover that has been tested and timed, not assumed.
A backup you have never restored is a hypothesis. We design the backup and point-in-time recovery strategy, then rehearse the restore and time it, so your RTO is a measurement rather than an aspiration.
Configuration hardening against CIS benchmarks, privilege and access review, encryption in transit and at rest, audit logging, and the evidence pack your compliance team will ask for, mapped to ISO 27001, PCI DSS and GDPR.
Read/write splitting, query routing and mirroring, connection multiplexing, and the cluster-sync failure modes that bite in production, configured and hardened, not left at defaults.
Instance right-sizing, storage and IOPS tuning, archival strategy, reserved-capacity modelling, and the query work that lets a smaller instance carry the same load.
A scoped audit is ten working days from the first call to a written report you keep. Here is exactly what happens in each.
Not a salesperson. We agree the problem, the boundaries and the outcome. You receive a written scope and a fixed fee before anything starts.
Read-only by default. We collect metrics, capture the slow query log, and profile the real workload: named individuals, access logged, revoked on completion.
The actual work: EXPLAIN against executed plans, index and histogram strategy, InnoDB and I/O sizing, HA topology review, and a cost pass where it applies.
Ranked findings, evidence for each, and a remediation plan with effort estimates, walked through on a call so nothing is lost in a PDF.
The same team executes the plan, separately scoped, separately quoted. Or you take the report and run it yourself.
You keep the report whether or not you engage us to implement it. If we find nothing worth fixing, we will tell you that, and you will have paid for the certainty.
The person who scopes your engagement is the person who does it and the person who signs the report. A decade of production MySQL, in named hands.
A decade focused on open-source databases: Certified MySQL DBAs with production experience across Community, Enterprise, Percona and Aurora, at scale that runs to hundreds of clusters.
Our engineers publish the playbooks this page links to, from the 8.4 incompatible-changes guide to ProxySQL cluster-sync debugging. If we recommend it, we have written the how.
We host technical meetups with core engineers from the MySQL, MariaDB and TiDB ecosystems. The knowledge that reaches your cluster is current, not remembered from a certification exam.
Published Mydbops case studies: MySQL-native engagements, each with a hard number and a named client.
A phased FinOps re-architecture: right-sizing over-provisioned EC2, storage and IOPS tuning, and database aggregation across the MySQL cluster estate.

Read full case study →63TB migrated from Aurora MySQL 2 (5.7) to 3 (8.0), 50TB of redundant data archived first, cutover by smart traffic routing during live operations.
Read full case study →Workload-aware partitioning split active from historical data, automated tiering moved legacy records to S3, and native replication was modernised, no vendor lock-in.

We are set up to clear vendor review, not to be surprised by it. The credentials and paperwork your security and legal teams need are ready before the scoping call.
ISO/IEC 27001 certified PCI DSS: Attestation of Compliance on request ISO 9001 AWS Advanced Tier Services PartnerWe work to a written SOW with acceptance criteria agreed before any work starts.
Completed on request, typically within a few working days of receipt.
Signed before the scoping call if you prefer to talk specifics first.
Read-only by default, named individuals only, every action logged, access revoked on completion.
Reference calls with comparable engagements available on request.
Fixed scope, fixed fee, quoted before work starts. No hourly billing, no scope creep.
A written scope and a fixed fee come out of the first call. You approve the number before we touch anything.
The fee is tied to the deliverable, not the clock. An audit that takes us longer than expected costs you the same.
The report is yours whether or not you engage us to implement. Implementation, if you want it, is scoped and quoted separately.
Tell us what's going wrong. We'll come back with a scope, a fixed fee, and the senior DBA who will perform the audit and walk you through the report.
