Event Recap

What a fantastic afternoon. On August 9th, we were thrilled to host a full house of engineers, architects, and developers at the AWS office in Bangalore. Together with our partners at TiDB and AWS, we spent the day talking through the real-world challenges of building and running databases at scale.

For everyone who couldn't make it, here's a look at what you missed and links to the full talks.

Highlights from the Sessions

Our speakers covered the topic from every angle—from the cloud platform that runs the database to the hands-on details of keeping it live in production.

Shubham Londhe (Developer Advocate, AWS)

  • Topic: Powering Your Distributed Database: The Right AWS Foundation
  • Shubham started us off by showing how to build a solid, cost-effective foundation on AWS that can power demanding databases like TiDB.

Bhanu Jamwal (Head of India Business, TiDB)

  • Topic: Why Distributed SQL is the Future
  • Bhanu broke down the strategic shift to Distributed SQL, explaining why it's quickly becoming the new standard for modern, scalable applications.

Kabilesh P.R. (Founding Partner, Mydbops)

  • Topic: How TiDB Solves Scalability Limits in Real-World Production Systems
  • Kabilesh closed out the day with a practical look at running TiDB in production, sharing hard-won lessons from real-world projects.
