Two-time TiDB Community Champion and former AWS Community Builder, leading large MySQL to TiDB migrations at Mydbops.
Kabilesh is a founding partner at Mydbops and an active voice in India's distributed SQL community. He leads the team's TiDB practice, including the migration of a large streaming platform's user management system from MySQL to TiDB: 7 TB moved with zero downtime, now serving 3.26M queries per second with 79% less storage.
He started as a Tier-2 MySQL DBA and still writes about the details, from the new MySQL thread pool to troubleshooting stuck replica IO threads. PingCAP has named him a TiDB Community Champion for 2024-25 and 2025-26, and he was an AWS Community Builder from 2021 to 2024.
